An Update from the NSEE 2020 Conference Co-Chairs:

Dear Friends,

Based on the input of NSEE members and prospective conference attendees, as well as the ambiguity surrounding the state of the COVID-19 pandemic come September, we have decided to move the 49th Annual NSEE 2020 Conference to a virtual format. We plan on returning to Salt Lake City for NSEE 2022 and hope that we can be together to experience this beautiful city in better times.

All presenters will receive a commendation letter from NSEE acknowledging their proposal acceptance for the 2020 conference and all accepted proposal abstracts including sessions, PechaKucha, and roundtables will be included in the conference proceedings.  While we may not be able to include all presentations in the virtual event, we hope to accommodate as many as we can and offer sessions, networking opportunities, and reflection in a range of virtual formats.

The NSEE 2020 Conference Committee is carefully reviewing various options regarding the conference structure and facilitation technology. Our goal is to create a meaningful, supportive experience that fosters professional development, collaboration, and networking, just as our in-person conferences strive to do. We are particularly excited that a virtual conference will allow for greater flexibility of participation across time zones, and even more educators will have an opportunity to join our community. We will announce the conference details including information for presenters, exhibitors, and sponsors no later than July 17.

We sincerely appreciate your continued support and look forward to having you join us virtually for NSEE 2020. Please stay safe and take good care.

Marti Snyder & Paul Gaszak, NSEE 2020 Conference Co-Chairs
